Sonny was one of the very first residents at the Sanctuary. Sonny was one of a triplet; dams (sheep mothers) can usually only provide enough nutrients for two lambs at any given time so the third is either disposed of or given away for hand rearing. Luckily we were contacted by the Farmer asking if we wanted to take him in. He was very timid to begin with but once he got to know us the wanted nothing more than to snuggle. Sonny is the leader of our flock and is the first to check out new situations to ensure the safety of the others. He will happily lie ontop of you and jump up like a dog for kisses.
